Upon showing my mom my portfolio her reaction was "I love what you've been making, but I hate the scary monsters and creatures!" So I'm in a way dedicating the last piece in my portfolio to my mom by making something super cute.Next up comes the real bulk of this project: the giant robot suit he will be riding in!

I made this starting with a sphere in Zbrush, About 4-5 hours while blasting the nightmare before christmas soundtrack. I need to find a better way to approach the hair. The ruffles at his neck are just a stand-in for the real ones. I may make his body as well.

Hello again! I'm sad to report my latest version of this model got corrupted :( making me lose a days worth of work. Very sad indeed!

I've been steadily working on bits of this model here and there since then. The belts are the main thing getting attention since then. I realized as I really started working to get details accurate it was much more challenging than what I was used to. Every detail has to have a logical reason for being there, and without one your eye is drawn to it in an annoying way. I have yet to decide on whether or not to keep the cloak and also I was considering adding a bow and quiver to her back. There's still a few color choices that need to be made as well, but overall I like the direction it's headed in.

So this model has changed ethnicity's twice so far. I have to move on to the costume or I'll never get this done! I spent a lot of time on very fine details (especially in the hands). This model is one of the least blocky I've done, the flatten and claytubes brushes are my friends.
